Episode 01 – J.D. Ford Interview
What does it really take to fight for joy, justice, and your community from inside a system that wasn't built for you? In this episode of Sorry I'm a B*tch, hosts Kaylee Ellis and Jon Boyd sit down with Indiana State Senator J.D. Ford — the first, and so far only, openly LGBTQ+ person elected to Indiana's state legislature for a real, unfiltered conversation as part of the Joyful Revolution series.
Senator Ford flipped a long-held Republican district in 2018 and has been fighting for working families, affordable healthcare, and equal rights for Hoosiers ever since. We get into all of it — the wins, the walls, and what joy looks like when you're making history.
Episode 02 – John hates the government
Jon Boyd hates the government. He'd like you to know that upfront. He's a self-described "easy to hate moderate," a product of the South, and the kind of guest who will absolutely snitch on you to your husband if you slide into Isaiah Martin's DMs.
Meanwhile, Kaylee is going through something. A gut-feeling TikTok she posted last month just hit 7.7 million views, half the internet thinks she's a witch, and the other half wants her to predict their math test scores. She gave one kid a 72%. He's been studying. She's not taking further questions at this time.
From there, the episode covers boycotts (are they working?), political correct terminology, the backstoryto John's personal podcast and his Louisiana roots, reproductive rights, and why hating the government is actually a completely reasonable personality trait. They close out with the Joyful Revolution segment — real, actual good news, including Indiana's Democratic primary turnout, JD Ford's primary win, and the new generation of fighters pushing back on voter suppression in the Deep South. It's a mess. It's a great time. Jon hates the government.
